Cyprus Unemployment Rate Decreases to 3.1% in May

Cyprus's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 3.1% in May 2026, a decrease from 3.2% in April and 4.5% in May 2025. This reduction signifies a continued downward trend in unemployment over recent months, with the total number of unemployed individuals falling to 16,000 from 24,000 the previous year. Both male and female unemployment rates saw declines, with the EU and Euro area also experiencing stable or slightly reduced unemployment figures.
