Cyprus Tax Department Mandates Electronic Rent Payments

As of July 1, 2026, all rental payments for immovable property in Cyprus must be conducted through electronic methods, such as bank transfers, debit or credit card payments, or other recognized electronic means. This requirement applies universally to individuals and legal entities, regardless of the rental amount or property use. Landlords are prohibited from accepting rent payments in any other form.
