Cyprus Renewable Energy Reaches 36.88% of Total Generation in May

In May, renewable sources contributed 36.88% to Cyprus's total electricity production, an increase from 23.5% in the first quarter of 2026. This trend shows a steady rise from 19.71% in January to 36.88% in May. Comparatively, the overall European Union average for renewable electricity generation was 45.5% during the first quarter.
