Cyprus Registers First Social Enterprises

Cyprus has officially registered its initial social enterprises, with three already listed and two more nearing completion. These entities, established under 2023 legislation, are categorized as general-purpose or integration enterprises, with the latter focusing on employing individuals with disabilities. Social enterprises must generate at least 70% of revenue from business activities and reinvest a significant portion of their profits.
